![]() You see for Google, YunOS is all things anti-Android, and Google has been quite vocal about it from time to time. And HMD isn't offering any clarity, regarding the operating system, at this point of time. It's more Android-like than Android, the YunOS, to a point that it's all complicated. ![]() Or for that matter, even a Xiaomi phone or a Vivo phone or a OnePlus that put third-party skinning on top of Android. It's a fork of Android but an incompatible one at that which - according to Google guidelines - means although it may be able to run (some) Android apps, don't expect it to mete out the same experience that you'd get from an Android phone, like say the Pixel. The Nokia 3310 4G runs Alibaba's YunOS which uses runtimes, framework and various tools from Android, and can technically run Android apps, but hasn't met the requirements of Google's Android compatibility program.
